Home Watch in Southern Utah, Done Right — Meet KeyBird

Get to know KeyBird

My name is Cierra Parkinson. I've called Southern Utah home for my whole life, and I started KeyBird because I kept running into the same gap: seasonal homeowners leaving town with no one accountable for what happened while they were gone.

A neighbor might check in. A property manager might add it to their list. But neither was showing up on a schedule, putting eyes on every room, or calling before a cracked supply line turned into a flooded laundry room.

I’ve had experience working in construction sub-contracting, architecture, and project management. I’ve come to know what deferred maintenance looks like before it becomes an insurance claim, and I know how to talk to contractors when something needs attention fast. That's a different skill set than most home watch providers bring to the door.

KeyBird is accredited by the National Home Watch Association — the industry's credentialing body for professional home watch — and is currently the only NHWA-accredited provider serving Southern Utah. We carry $1,000,000 in general liability through Specialty Insurance Partners, a $10,000 dishonesty bond through Western Surety Company, and $100,000 in cyber liability through AmTrust Financial. All company principals pass annual criminal background checks. All technicians carry a current driving record on file.

As a local, I know the communities here — Entrada, The Ledges, Desert Color, SunRiver, Green Springs, and more. I know what a Southern Utah summer does to a home that no one visits for four months, and what a January freeze can do to a vacation property whose owner is in Palm Springs. If you own a second home here and live somewhere else, you've probably already thought about this. Most people just don't know who to call.

If you own a vacation home or seasonal property in St. George or anywhere in Southern Utah, request a complimentary home assessment here — I'll come out, walk the property with you, and tell you exactly what a watch program would look like for your home.
